Update from kuching.

Finally i bought a card reader for my memory card to transfer the photo to my laptop so that i can post it up to my blog.
Thats the house we are currently staying in kuching. Small but comfortable and the rental is cheap.

I am currently still in OPD, until end of this march and i will go to the ward. Life here is fine, not to say i super like it, and not to say i dislike it. Sometimes, it can be boring because i have nothing much to do here except work, sleep or maybe exploring around.

Over here, i totally cannot survive without internet. That is the only way i stay connected to everyone.
To train in Sarawak General Hospital, i think it is really good. If you ask me would i consider to stay here? I am still indecisive.I feel that the lifestyle here starts to kill me, and the feeling of loneliness (sometimes) really me make me wanna go to some where else.

- IMU buddies, HS is holding the camera.

Especially your work load is so heavy and you are force to do something you dont like. Like the project i am doing, i dont see any point of doing it. Who cares what the result is, as long i pass PRP year. Why spending more time and more energy to do something that does not give any benefit?

Although my time is fully occupied with all my work, i do feel the emptiness.

Looking back the pictures with my friends, i really missing all of you. Especially the special occasion we used to celebrate together. I feel like having a time machine, bring me back to the time we all gathering together.

- The time you celebrate my birthday with me.

- The time in Glasgow.

8 months to go, and i have another chance to choose where i want to be. This year is going to end very fast. I hope it does, i hope.

Destiny sent me here, to train me to be tougher, to be independent.

Back in action

After 2 months in kuching, i finally got the internet fixed at home.Been disappear from msn for so long and now i gonna online puas puas 24/7.

December is great, so many holidays and how i wish it can be longer. Wont be going back to penang until chinese new year. 4 more weeks to go and i will be home from 22 jan - 2 feb. I am the prp who apply the longest holiday leave, ngek ngek.

3 days ago, during the christmas night, i am counting down at home with my earest laptop.

4 days later will be the new year eve, i hope something for something special. We plan to have a BBQ session at home so i hope we are still carry on with the plan.

Currently i am so busy with my presentation on january. I will have 2 presentations, 1 for CPD and 1 for my research project proposal.
The topic i am doing in 'cefoperazone+metronidazole as antibiotics prophylaxis in pre-operative patients'
2 weeks for us to come up with detail proposal and i am so not in mood to do it. Sometimes i think is a waste of time because the outcome is not going to change any standard protocol which already practice for so many years. Is like doing for the sake of doing it without any objective.Just do to show that we are doing something, no point la. As long as i can pass my prp year. Talking about my preceptor for my research project, i think he is not helping us anything.dont care la, as long as i pass my prp year.

Kuching is not a bad place to be,
1. Much more cleaner, than penang, and for sure than kl.
2. No terrible traffic jam.
3. Lifestyle is much more relaxing, not so hectic.
4. Special foods where you will never get to try in peninsular.

But,
1. Things are 10% more expansive than in peninsular.
2. You cant find Gardenia bread here.
3. No TOPSHOP over here.
4. Only 1 starbucks and 1 coffee bean here.
5. Largest shopping mall is 1/20 size of midvalley.
6. You cannot find prawn mee here.
7. Raining everyday during end of the year.

Anyway, i am happy that i am here rather than in some ulu place la.Will consider to stay here for the next 3 years, to be decided.

I am missing the old good days.
- Missing the time hanging around with my friends,everyone is working at different place now.
- Missing all my buddies, dota-ing together,having fun in glasgow,i miss the time in glasgow.
- Missing the time when i can play badminton 3 times a week.
- Missing the time when i can play futsal at least once a week.
- Missing my penang prawn mee.
- Missing the time when i can stay up late and sleep until the next evening.
- Missing what i am missing...

2 weeks after..

Finish my attachment at enforcement unit. My next station will be at In Patient Department IPD at RTU ( Radio Therapy Unit ). I guess it will be in the oncology department. Life here is not bad, quiet relaxing but it can be very busy as well. Very soon, i will have presentation to do, clerking case in the ward, workshop to attend etc etc. I better dont be lazy and start learning lol..

Will move into the new house next week, dont know which day yet. I am still waiting for my little kancil to come. Bank transaction take ages to complete. Unable to post up pitures yet because i have no card reader with me. Will kep u guys updated, happy working everyone =)

Greetings from kuching

Hello everyone, i am already in Kuching for 5 days. I was placed in the enforcement unit for the first 2 weeks. Working environment there is much more relax compare to other department.I was sitting inside the office doing nothing for the whole day,chit chatting, walking around, got la a bit reading la for the undang-undang and stuff. Poison act, regulations and zzzz...

Got to know a group of seniors there and they are really happening. Hope to follow them to go out to airport, port or pos office to do some checking job. At least no need to stay inside the office la. The best thing is the have badminton gang!!! haha.. continue join them for badminton next time.

Kuching here is much different compare to penang. Life here is not so hectic like KL but is much more relaxing. Not much traffic jam problem where u wil stuck in the road without moving for 20 minutes. Things aren't cheap over here. Yesterday, 4 of us, ming ying, sue choo, hee sheong and me went the the largest shopping mall in kuching, named The String.Quiet nice la, but is much more smaller than Midvalley, which is like 1/20 the size of MV,haha!!
I try to check out some items to compare their prices to those in peninsular. And i realised that the prices are slightly more expansive in peninsular. haih..is like that lo..what to do..

Oh ya another depressing thing, our gaji actually not that high. We will get housing allowance for only RM600. For those local, they will get RM250. Meaning we are only RM350 more le. Minus the living cost and renting a place to stay, actually is almost the same lo. -.-'' nevermind la, let me explore this beautiful borneo, i will find it interesting.

Recently i am thinking to get a car for myself since i am going to start working very soon, so transportation is a need for me. Should i get a 2nd hand old car or a new car? If a new car, should i get a local car or imported car? Of cos local car is cheaper, but as malaysian, i think you know well how the performance and the quality. On the other hand, imported cars are nicer and better. Especially Toyota which i am thinking, yes is just thinking, the price is really a big burden to me. So, i think the answer will only review once i got to know where am i going to work.

I hope i can get either Vios or City, although the one i prefer the most is accord but sorry ah, the price, ouch!! wallet sakit, gigi pun sakit.

It has been such a long time i never update my blog. Again, i am going to put the blame on the connection speed. Seriously, it is really too slow.

Life is all about waiting. Go out makan, wait for the food. Go hang out, wait for people. Traffic light, wait for it to turn green. Working day, wait for holiday. End of the month, waiting for the next month ( pay day mah!! ).See..is all about waiting.

I am now waiting for the posting letter. As malaysian, we know how efficient our government can be. I doubt they have a standard protocol of doing the job. I am not complaining just for the sake for complaining, complain is to have improvment. There are so much things that we need to improve.

Waiting is seriously damn sien wei, everyday have to think how to pass my time. People been telling me, relax now la, dont rush to work when you can work for the coming 30 years. True.. When i am too free, i complain, when i am too busy i complain,hahaha. human ah human, this is human. When u have u dont appreciate, when u lost something u kao peh kao bo (hokkien)

Here comes my graduation photos after such a long time.

For those who have their pictures with me, i will edit your photo like this.Either half body or full body portrait. If you have family pictures with me as well, i will choose the best shot and edit it as well. Sorry because i am unable to post up all the pictures over here due the 'ligth speed' internet connection in malaysia.

If you want to print out the pictures, please let me know and i shall let you know the price. Anyother special request, let me know as well.

Finally i am back to Penang after 13 months. Currently i am doing nothing over here, quiet boring, hope to make my time more occupy. One thing i seriously cannot stand over here, is not the super hot weather but the internet speed.

Steamyx is the 'fastest' in malaysia, what a shame la. Is damn freaking slow ok! That is the reason why i have motivation to update my blog at all when i know that i have to wait for ages in order to get all my pictures uploaded.

I am missing the internet speed in Glasgow. Internet connection speed have big influence ok.. Slow internet--> slow transaction-->waste time-->waste money!!

Being too free to me is a type of time wasting. Rather then sitting at home doing nothing, i should do something interesting or something that makes me feel occupied. Make good use of my time. So, i am now desperately hope to start my job in a hospital.

Went for a 5 days trip to paris. Nice place with many beatiful architectures, but a bit dissapointing as the city is dirty -.-''

As you know, Paris is one of the famous tourist hotspots in europe. Things aren't cheap over here. If you think that travelling to italy is expansive, then paris is slightly more expansive. So, prepare more cash before your wallet go empty.

Home alone

Most of my friends went to Greece for holiday, and now the house left me alone with another polish guy for a few days before they come back. I am used to be home alone while in KL. During that time, my 3 housemates are from Klang and Kajang. During the weekend, they will travel back home and i will be the guard for the house.

Staying alone is not that bad actually, as i can do what i want. Blasting the speaker with musics, enjoying my time in the big house.

I am now busy planning the trip for my parents. Hope to get everything done and well planned before 24.

Oh ya, good news.. I am finally graduate with MPharm degree with Merit!!

We spent 2 nights in Florence. Getting around the city is very easy. All the tourist hot spots are just within walking distance, and what you need is a pair of good shoes to walk around.

Seafood rice...very nice..it cost me 7 euro for this..ouch! but worth it

Just back from spainand portugal 2 days ago. I am currently staying in new hall, which is smaller compare to the previous one. A room cost me 65 pounds per week, to save more money in my pocket, i am sharing the room with PJ. Accomodation over here super expansive la, wallet bleeding.

Here are some pictures from Pisa. To travel to Pisa, we took a train from Florence. The journey took an hour and 30 minuts walk from Pisa train station. What to do in Pisa? Eat pizza? of course not, is the leaning tower of Pisa, one of the seven wonders in the world.

Here are some pictures i snapped from beatiful venice. Too buys recently, need to pack everything and move to new accomodation.

My result is coming out today, either pass or fail. I just hope that i can pass and graduate as a pharmacist. Not only myself,i hope all my friends can do it as well. It is not easy to get into the final stage.

So, i hope the malaysians better appreciate the pharmacists. we are studying so hard to make sure you receive the best treatment and taking good care of your health.

Just came back from Italy 2 days ago and i was busy packing my stuff because i am moving to new accomodation. Dont really have time to post up the pictures from italy yet, i need some time to edit the pictures.

Yesterday was the Britain got talent final. Me and my housemates are so addicted to this show. Stunning performance,creative and simply incredible.

Goerge unable to qualify to the final round last year and then he worked so hard this year and finally he won the competition. This little boy is super yeng!! Check out the following video clip.

This wednesday i will have my last paper for my final exam and i am heading to italy for 8 days. After suffering+stressing+depressing+sleepless+tachycardia+nervous+anxious+going crazy+insane+chi sin+gila+bodoh exam.

I went to visit my cousin at Sheffield last month. Here are some pictures i captured during my visit.

Brain damage

Study and go for exam is really a tiring process. The brain always oppose what i suppose to do.

I hardly can remember all the things when my blood brain barrier is not letting anything going in.

I am sure that everyone is worry about forgetting some important stuff. No matter how many times you study the notes, surely there are some parts that have low 'memorising-availability' and you will tend to forget.

I am brilliant to create my own way to preserve whatever stuff i have studied by 'wrapping my head with plastic bag' to prevent whatever inside to fall out.

Amsterdam part 4

Hardly fall asleep now, is 5am in the morning. I think i slept too much in the evening, that is the only explaination why my brain remains hyperactive at the late night.

2 days after the disaster, i got a good rest yesterday and start to focus on the next paper. 2 down and 3 more to go, i cant wait for the holiday. But i think my holiday will only start when the result is out. That is when i know i passed all the papers.

Praying hard everyone can graduate together. It is not easily to get until this stage, one more final step to go for our goal. So close yet so far, a step seems to be so difficult, but i am sure we can all do it together.

I am quiet busy recently because i am having exam currently. So i wont update blog so often for now.

I had a bad day today, i think not only me but majority of us after finish our exam for Clinical Pharmacology and Prescribing. This paper is totally shit!! For those who dont know what it is, it is a journal intepretation paper. Yes is JOURNAL INTERPRETATION!!!

The duration was 3 hours but find it really insufficient. Majority of us unable to finish the questions on time. Even if we did, i hope the lecturers can read our hand writing. I tested my writing speed today, i can feel my hand and arm really sore after i put down my pen. Is a totally insane paper to do again, i hope i will never need to.

After the exam i went back and think how was my performace, am i able to pass this paper. I realise the chance for me to pass is just 40% or maybe lesser. I did badly, i hope the lecturers are kind enough to give me a few pathetic points for my pathetic answer.

I cant imagine what will happen if i cant pass this paper. I WONT BE ABLE TO GRADUATE here but to resit again in malaysia. Dont forget my parent is coming all the way to glasgow for my graduation..dare not imagine..

I shall focus on the next paper..Damn!.I feel like swearing bad words now!

Staring on the notes for the whole day is really boring, i wish to play badminton but too bad i just injured my ankle few days ago. Hopefully i will be fit on the coming wednesday.

I snapped more than 300 photos at keukenhof so i have to seperate and post up the pictures in a few parts. 6 of us explore around amsterdam for 4 days 3 night and the trip to keukenhof amazed me. Unfortunately we are still unable to visit the farm, all the flowers in the farm are expected to blossom on may. Overall, i am happy with the trip and hopefully i wil have the chance to visit here again.

It was a really nice experience and the visit to keukenhof - europe garden really impressed me. The entrance fees only cost me 13 euro and i think the visit worth more than the price itself. A must visit place if you are going to Netherland. The keukenhof was located at Lisse, where you can hop on a bus to get there. More pictures are coming up soon.

After spending so much time staring on the computer screen, reading so many journals, suffer from psychological damage - stress, sleepless, palpitaion, depress, anxious, nervous and etc etc... Finally everything was done....

Woohoo...the final masterpiece.

So what i have done? What i did is to use the canggih computer software to search potential inhibitors for the SHP-2 protein, which was found to involve in inflammation and cell differentiation response.

So, the potential compounds i identified will be the first step towards the design of anti-inflammatory drug targeting SHP-2.

At last, i no need to write report any more. You wont know how much i hate report writing and JOURNAL READING. Serious brain damage!!
Luckly i am free now after summitted the 68 pages thick report.

I went to join a Easter badminton social game organise by the Strathclyde sport cente. It was more like a social game than a real type tournament. Anyway, i had lots of fun playing badminton with scottish uncle. Proudly to say, i manage to win 2nd place for 2 consecutive days lol..Anyway, it was just a small game for fun.

Last day for lecture

Today is our last lecture for Mphar course. Cant believe 3.5 years just passed away so fast. I think i will miss the time sitting the lecture hall, paying my 'full attention' to the lecture and sleeping inside the lecture hall as well. zzzz....

GP visit..

One thing impress me over here is the health care system. It is totally different from Malaysia. In Malaysia, you can just access to private clinic easily but here, you have to make appointment. Some appointment will put you two weeks after. By the time your illness already cure la, wait until so long. Luckly they got this NHS24 which operates 24 hours, or else sure KO if have something emergency.

Together with me is Siu Ann, we went for GP visit session on the wednesday. Visit meaning VISIT, minum kopi and chit chat,neither of us is unwell.

So what we do is sit inside with the GP and see how they work. Wah lao eh, the computer system really IMPRESS me, super advance and well established.

The GP can obtain the patient detail easily by just clicking on the computer. The data actually connected to every health care center and can easily exchange any data.

For example if you send a blood test to hospital for testing, the result will email to your computer within couple of days. Unlike Malaysia where you have to drive all the way and stuck in the jam just to collect the test result.

The GP here looks more senang then Malaysia. Every patient will have their appointment before they seek for GP.

I realise that depression is really serious cases over here. The GP not only have to do diagnosis and treat the illness, but they also have to become counsellor or psychologist to counsel the patient, especially to those who suffering from depression and anxiety.

Social problem here really serious...

Anyway, it was really a nice experience to sit inside the room and see how the GP do their work. Dr. Cameron is really nice and friendly. She share with us her experience and explain how the health care system works in Scotland to us.

Too bad the session only last for one day and the location of the clinic is just too far. Although we can get there by train, but i have to wake up on 6.15am just to reach there on time. I dont mind going again if the location is near enough.

Friday is the last lecture for us. Think i am gonna miss the time SLEEPING in lecture hall,hahaha!!!

Malaysians are now more aware to the political issues. Things have changed. Those who are not capable to lead, is time to step down. BN suffered a very bad defeat this time, even lost 2/3 of their majority in the parliament.

Penang and Selangor are now the hot topic for everyone. What a dramatic win for the opposition party in Penang, and an unexpected win in Selangor.

Unlike 5 years ago when the internet is still not so popular, today the information technology is so advance. A small issue can be spread easily all around the world. Just click on the buttons on your mouse to access the internet, you can see every single little thing. Whatever issues either good or bad thing you did, it will be easily presented to anybody at any part of the world. Is time for a change, and i am looking forward for a better improvement. The result is not an ending but a beginning.

Me, Su Miin and Edmond were a bit shock with the election result. 3 of us spend almost 1.5 hours talking in the living hall until 5am in the morning, and the FIRE ALARM start to make noise again. As usual, we have to run out and suffer the freezing cold wind.

This election reminds me about a photo i snapped in Germany, Reichstag the parliament building of Germany. Well, What so special about the building? Take a look...

This is the 2nd time snowing in glasgow and this might be the last one in the winter. So everyone still very excited, rush out from the house and snap some nice pictures.

Just finish my CPP, feel a bit more relax now. 3 more assignment to go. 2.5 months later, i will be saying bye bye to JBC because our contract is ending. We will have to move to another acoomodation.

Cant wait for the holiday...5 more places i hope i can travel before i go back to malaysia. Spain, Portugal, Holland, Italy and France. Spain and Portugal on this coming June.

Very soon i will be back to malaysia, so i have to enjoy my time here and make use of it to the maximum.

After busy for so long, is time for a break.. At least i feel a bit relieve after finish the class test and my presentation.

On saturday, i decided to join Fionna and others to Balloch, at the north side of scotland for country walk. Thanks to friendly Nigel and Jane for the short trip. We enjoy it a lot.

Walking at the countryside, get myself out of the busy city life. Feel so refreshing with the fresh air in the green, no more poluted air that kills my brain cells.

Done with our Biophar 5 class test today. The questions are moderately difficult and tricky, i have really bad IQ when come to 'tembak' the correct answer. I did wrong quiet a number of questions.I always have a very low chances of picking the right one. Bad analysing skill, should have improve it more.

Took a day off for myself after hectic week. Went to watch National Treasure - The secret book. The movie is really nice.. It never regret me..2.20 pounds after discount, is really worth it.

Case presentation is on wednesday, i am done with the slides, just need some touch up. I just do whatever i can, just go forward crap everything out, ask me whatever questions you want to ask. I will answer if i know, just say dont know if i dont. Dont want to think so much, just let it be, i dont wanna get head damage..Brain cells are dying....

After hopping for so long, we finally get to see it although it only last for a few minutes. I missed it because i am sleeping when it snowed on 9am in the morning. Not a big lost to me since i have experience it when i went to Sweden.

This is my first ice skating experience and the different thing is the we are skating at the outdoor, not the indoor one in malaysia. The ice willl definitely melt if you do the outdoor type in malaysia.

The best thing for being a student is you will get benefits for student price. Eventually, we paid 5 pounds per person for the 45 minutes session. I know it is not cheap but it is the first time experience for me and the more important one is at george square, with all the nice decoration and lighting at the surrounding.

I guess it gonna be a very depressing period for all of us. Report to hand up, lab session to attend, jornals to read and more more work needed to get it done. I am so sick of reading journal and the worse thing is searching for it. I am doing a topic regarding diabetes so i have to search for the evidence for the treatment i recommended. Here come the problem , i am using the advance search tools to search for a specific topic but the damn stupid searching engine pop up with more than hundred related and UNRELATED one. Damn...cant the computer be more smater to pick out what i want. Now i have to waste more time to screen out one by one, damn time consuming. I wonder how the Phd student can tahan this type of lifestyle. If you are doing 3 years of Phd study, 2 years u will be spending on searching journal, OMG!! kesian kesian...

The format has changed. For our senior they only need to hand up one essay for the clinical case ( if i am not mistaken ). But now we have to hand up 3 essays!!! This is ridiculous!! and i dont find it benefit us as well. In another way, it is time wasting to do some much essay. 3 essays for pharm care and 1 for CPP, sum up 4 essay with minimum 2000 words and u need EVIDENCE!!! meaning journal to support your suggestion.. -.-''

Research project is even worse. I wonder how thick is it gonna be when i print out everything. Class test coming soon, clinical case presentation as well. I hate doing presentation especially u get a sucky lecturer asking some non sense questions. So far i think A.Thompson is good, at least she dont ask me so many non sense questions and the feed back from her is positive enough to encourage me. Not like some stupid bitch, just ask for the sake of asking. Final semester is here, after this i hope i no need to read journal anymore. Unfortunately, i think i have more to go for my future career, unavoidable.

For my friends who are resitting exam today, i hope for the best to you guys. I heard it is more difficult compare to degree exam last time, but you have try your best. Have faith and i know you do it.

Hopefully everyone is not bored with my blog because i know i posted a lot of advertisement here. I am too busy for the past few weeks for lab session but luckly mine lab was done. No more lab for the next week, huh...at least i can spend time on my essay and report now. I am so sick of reading all the journals! The lucky thing is my lab is really short, it can finish in 1 week time but i just dont understand why hey have to drag it until 2 weeks. Just to 'show' that we are doing something just by attending more sessions or just by adding more signature on the attendance list.

Anyway, thanks so Dr. Blair for helping us so much. Super nice and helpful lecturer, we appreciate all your help. Allright i will update another post about my lab session. For now, i would to share some pictures with you for my London trip during the xmas time.

We arrived at London around 2pm on 23 December after an hour flight from Glasgow Prestwick airport. After that, we have to take a 'mini' bus which looks like a van to the city center. The journey supposed to take up 1h15 mins but the stupid traffic just causes us some problems here. We spent 2 hours to reach there but the shittiest stuff was the driver driving skill. Stupid driver keep accelerate the car and suddenly decelerate by stepping on the break, damn dizzy ok. I am not the only one who feel so, majority of us do.

First destination, Madame Tussauds. I feel that i am in Hollywood now with all the celebrities around me. Of course they are all waxwork made according to the measurement and ratio of their body. So, whatever you see is the actual height and size of your favourite star.

We spent our last day in sweden at the capital city, Stockholm. The city is well develop andi would say it is a very modern style big city. Everything looks so new over there. Day 2 in Kiruna, we checked out from ice hotel 9am in the morning and picked up by a tour guide to start our dog sledding tour. We will travel 20km to a lappish camp side but this time we will take a dog sled.
Husky is the best runner at the lapland. They can withstand the coldness of the weather and run a speed of 40km per hour. The husky are really strong, 5 dogs are able to pull a sled loaded with 3 persons.

We are on our way to the camp side which is located far away from the city center. These are the pictures i captured during our journey. We are travelling through the jungle and there are nothing around us except snow and trees.

Sunrise very late around 9am and set around 3pm. The daytime is really really short so we have to wake up early in the morning for our activities.

Why there is a P sign at the camp side? This is the toilet for the guys, is for small matter only, big one of course u need at shelter ok. Dont worry you are inside the jungle so no one will see while P-ing.hehe :)

Rein deer meat with macaroni. The texture is like the mixture of pork and beef to me.

We had BBQ at night for our dinner. It is like eating charcoal and i dont really like it. No choice, you will be starving if you dont eat. I personally not prefer BBQ food.

The daytime is too short so we actually dont have much activities at the camp side. We experience the life at the lapland camp side which is far away from city. It is inside the jungle where you are surrounded by nothing except trees and snow.

I spoke to the tour guide over there and he said '' Jungle is a safer place to stay than the city'' and i wonder and asked '' Why? ''. '' There are no people in the jungle, human is the dangerous one'' he answer. So do you get what he is trying to say? I smile and agreed with him.

Kiruna Day 1 - Ice Hotel

Kiruna, a small city in sweden located at the north part of the country. It is famous with Ice Hotel which is one and the only hotel in the world built with ICE! You will get to stay in ice hotel during the winter or else the hotel will melt if the temperature is too high,haha..

11.30am - Flight from Arlanda airport to Kiruna airport.
1.30pm - Reach Kiruna airport and took a coach to Ice hotel.
2.00pm - checked in ice hotel and start visit around ice hotel.
5.30pm - Riding ice mobile 20km away from the city to the jungle for northern light trip.
10.30pm - Back to ice hotel and take a rest.
12.15am - Chill out at the Absolute Ice Bar.

Nice vodka but it taste more like orange juice to me. Should add more vodka to make it nicer.

There 2 types of accomodation, the warm room and cold room. The warm room is the normal room while cold room is like you are sleeping inside an igloo with all the things made of ice. We are staying in normal cold room. There are also Art suite in cold accomodation, meaning the room have different design by each artist. Take a look at more pictures below.

The northern light. We are so lucky to encounter it. The chances to see is around 40% but i think is even lower. The sky must be clear and it happen by chance.

This is how i sleep inside the ice room. The temperature inside the -3 degree celcius. All your luggage have to put at the reception or else everything will be frozen. It was a wonderful experiencing sleeping inside 'igloo'. I have to wear 2 t shirt with one jacket to sleep inside the sleeping bag. You know la, we asian cannot stand the coldness. I saw some ang moh sleep with one thin layer of long john only -.-''.

33.Old Trafford!

It is so unbelieveable! After watching broadcast on the tv for so many years and finally i can watch a LIVE match for my favourite team. 7 of us are so excited prior the match. The journey took us 4.5 hours by bus to travel down to Manchester from Glasgow. We took an early bus on 8.30am and reached our destination on 1pm.

I am glad to meet up my good buddy Kok Lun after 3 years for not meeting him. He is our tour guide for the Manchester trip. Thanks a lot for your wonderful tour guilding.

We have heard about nice dim sum in Manchester and i am craving for it after 6 months i have never put any single 'siu mai' in my mouth. I miss cha siu pao so much. End up, Kok Lun brought us to a famous cantonese restaurant named 'Tai Wu'. The dim sum are all half price from 12pm-4pm. I strongly recommend this restaurant because the dim sum is just so nice. It is even nicer compare to the dim sum i have tasted in Malaysia. We ended up ordering 23 basket of dim sum and share among 8 of us. guess what? It costs only 5.50 pounds per person! Amazing huh? It is so cheap ( Dont do convertion please!). If you are planning you next trip to Manchester, do visit this restaurant and will guarantee that you have no regrets.

The weather wasn't good on the match day because it was raining throughout the day. Luckly the rain stopped before the match or else the match will be carry on under the rain.

We visited the Megastore while waiting the match to start to get some souvenir for this wonderful trip. 8pm sharp, kicked off. The stadium was crowded with 77000 football fans cheering for the home team. Unlike watching TV, there is no replay if watching in the stadium. For 90 minutes i stare on the field, hope not to miss any single action of the players. Don't even sneeze, you might miss out a fabulous goal.

The trip is so unforgettable, of course the result is 2-0 to MAN UTD, glory glory MAN UTD....... (singing)

32.Nottingham Games

Last saturday, i took a 6 hours bus from Glasgow all the way to Nottingham to participate in the UK biggest Malaysian game, the Nottingham game. It was the biggest sport carnival open for all malaysia students studying in UK. Thousands of players and supporters crowded the sport hall for this grand event.

Sadly, the event is not as good as what i expected. The events are a bit mess up, unorganised and lots of confusion appears.
I participated men singles and mixed doubles event for badminton. The funny thing is, in the rules it was stated that 'Shuttlecock will only be provided from semi-final onwards'. What the hell is this? This is a very big event and the organiser did not provide shuttlecock? You call this badminton competition? What a shame. I paid 6 pounds for one event, i joint two meaning 12 pounds. There are more than 100 participants for badminton so please tell me where all the money goes? The hall is belongs to Nottingham uni so the organiser no need to pay any single cent to rent the court. So where is the money?

Min Tien and Desmond are joining the table tennis game. The rules stated that '11 points will be play for the priminary round...' again, WTH? 11 points only? And the funny things is '8 players with the highest point score will be qualify into quarter....' End up, according to Min Tien and Desmond, there are more than 10 players with same points. haha big headache to the organiser. Our experience playerDesmond have to teach them the correct way for creating a fixture. HAHA!!

You organised this event every year and things are still so unorganised. I am here to give feed back but not criticise. Hope will improve next year.

Food, yes Malaysia food are sold over there. The food are nice and not too expansive. At least i am not so dissapointing with the food. I am missing Penang food badly.
I am so happy to see my cousin there. For 1 year i have never see you. So so happy to see you again. At least my 24 pounds travel fare is worth it,haha....

Did not manage to win the tournament. Too many good players around. At least i did not knocked out for the first round.haha.. Min Tien did qualified to the quarter as well.

Finally found a sign board with Nottingham logo. Is a carpark sign, ish!
